• Capitol Records release the Raspberries self-titled debut LP.
     
  • A Raspberry scented “scratch and sniff” label is affixed to the cover of the band’s debut album. Over thirty years later, much to the surprise of those owning an original copy, the sticker has retained its raspberries fragrance.
     
  • Raspberries’ debut single, “Don’t Want To Say Goodbye” stalls at #90.
     
  • The group’s second single, “Go All The Way”, is a stone cold smash, skyrocketing to #5 on the Billboard charts and earning Raspberries a gold record.
     
  • Raspberries embark on a national tour, performing with the likes of The Hollies and The Grass Roots.
     
  • Back in New York’s Record Plant, under the guidance of producer Jimmy Ienner, the band record their second album, Fresh.
     
  • Fresh’s lead off single, “I Wanna Be With You" soars to #16; the follow-up single, “Let’s Pretend” earns a solid #35 placing.
     
  • In connection with the band’s latest single, “Let’s Pretend”, Capitol Records and Star magazine run a contest giveaway of a specially made Raspberry colored vehicle, the "Raspberries Rollswagon".
     
  • Raspberries perform at the “Ultimate ‘ROQ Concert” for KROQ-FM at the L.A. Coliseum in front of a crowd of over 60,000 people on November 25, 1972 where they share the stage with such acts as Stevie Wonder, The Eagles, Bee Gees and the 4 Seasons.
