  • While recording the album, Raspberries take a break to appear before over 100,000 people at a free concert in New York’s Central Park, an event hosted by John Lennon and Harry Nilsson.
     
  • Starting Over is released to universal acclaim and later selected by Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Albums Of The Year.”
     
  • “Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)” races to a solid #18 placing on the Billboard singles chart; years later the song is selected by Rolling Stone as one of the top 100 singles of all-time.
     
  • Raspberries appear on Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert.
     
  • Discouraged by the album’s lack of chart success, Raspberries continue to play shows through the year.
